1. What is RootBro AI-Draft?

RootBro AI-Draft is an AI writing assistant that runs as an Office Add-in inside Microsoft Word. It allows you to draft, rewrite, summarize, and translate text by connecting to third-party AI model providers using your own API keys.

2. Data we do not collect

We do not:

• store the contents of your Word documents on our servers;
• sell or share your content with advertisers;
• use your document text to train our own models;
• track your activity across other websites or applications.

3. Document content

When you interact with RootBro AI-Draft (for example, to draft or rewrite text), portions of your selected content or prompt may be sent from your device directly to the AI model providers that you configure (such as OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic), using your own API keys.

This communication occurs between the add-in running in Word and the third-party providers. Your document text is not stored or logged by RootBro on our own servers beyond what is technically necessary for short-term processing (if any).

4. API keys and model providers

RootBro AI-Draft follows a “Bring Your Own Keys” (BYOK) model. You provide your own API keys for AI providers. These keys are stored in Word’s add-in settings on your device or within your Microsoft 365 environment, not on RootBro-operated servers.

We use these keys only to send your requests to the AI providers you choose. You are responsible for reviewing and agreeing to the privacy policies and terms of those providers.

5. License and billing information

If you purchase a license through Lemon Squeezy or a similar third-party payment processor, that provider may collect billing and contact information (such as your email address and payment method) in accordance with their own privacy policy.

RootBro may receive limited information necessary to manage your license status (e.g., your email address and license state), but we do not process or store your full payment details.

6. Analytics and logs

We may collect basic, anonymized technical information (for example, error logs or aggregate usage counts) to improve the reliability of the add-in. These logs do not include the full content of your Word documents.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data related to license verification and error reporting. However, no system can be perfectly secure, and we encourage you to follow best practices for securing your accounts and API keys.
